Макс, haunted by his past, believes the key to survival is solitude. However, he finds himself captured and reluctantly joins a group of rebels escaping across the desert from the oppressive rule of Immortan Joe. The rebels have taken something of great importance from Joe, prompting the enraged dictator to unleash all his resources in a relentless pursuit of the fugitives.
